As part of the compromise and the environmental responsibility, on November 14, 2022 The Reef Playacar was host of the course “Clean Seas. From pollution to the solution”, given by Osmar Sanmiguel, representative of the ONU Environment México Program.

Through the networking of different sectors, as organizations, leaders of environmental, of business, social and governmental organizations in the State of Quintana Roo, we had the opportunity to learn and unify precise methodologies for the monitoring and collection of plastic waste on the beach.

As organizers, in our Resorts reiterate our commitment to the sustainability of the planet and the care of our seas. It is gratifying to see the impact that this type of meetings have, in addition to the interest that is generated in humanity about the awareness of the contamination of the oceans by single-use plastic.

Our planet is our home and at The Reef Resorts we will continue to generate actions to preserve it.

In collaboration with the ONU Environment Mexico Program, we reiterate our commitment to the planet. We recognize the participation of Eukariota® and collaborators of our hotels who through their participation in these projects contribute to sustainable tourism in Playa del Carmen.
